The size is very nice for me. I am only 5'9. My only complaint is that it squeaks when I move my wrist and its from the bracelet. So what I did is sprayed a tiny drop of WD-40 on the part that is squeaking and voila, problem solved. It's very easy to remove the links. I removed three. This and my bulova accutron are my favorite so far. I highly recommend it. By the way, I found this in some stores being sold from 400 to 500 bucks so I know I had a good deal at amazon and so will you. It is larger than described (it is actually 47mm wide, not including the stem) and the timer is fantastic. Here's a rundown of all the answers I couldn't find online:Caliber: 5T82 Battery: Seiko SR927w What do the subdials do? The SMALL SECONDS subdial at 9 o'clock counts seconds in all modes. The LOCAL TIME subdial at 12 o'clock displays the current time in the selected timezone in a 24 hr format. The BEZEL is inscribed with city names from 24 timezones. The bezel does not rotate, instead the city hand on the main dial points to the selected timezone. The top and bottom buttons rotate the city hand. The instruction book says that half hour timezone adjustments are possible, but I haven't bothered with that. The ALARM subdial is at the 6 o'clock position.
