It scratches easily. "But reviewer," you ask, "titanium is the strongest of metals! Why does this watch collect scratches so easily?" Strength and hardness are two different things. Titanium is strong, meaning that it has the highest tensile stress resistance per unit weight (resists being stretched) of any metal on the periodic table. Hardness, however, is a measure of a material's resistance to *shear* stress (sliding forces, the kind that scratch things). On the Mohs hardness scale, pure titanium has a hardness of 6. To put that in perspective, glass has a hardness of ~6.5, stainless steel ~7.5, and diamond 10. Do not buy a pure titanium watch and expect it to NOT collect scratches. Onto the review: 4/5 stars.
