This one fits the bill.It's very elegant, and the photos on Amazon do not do it justice. Use Google image search to get some better photos before you buy. The case is shiny polished stainless. The photos here make the case look a bit dull. It's a tad larger and heavier than I expected, but it's fine. The watch face is what I would call ivory. I expected a typical second hand that sweeps around the dial every minute, but the larger second hand you see is actually the stopwatch second hand. The regular second hand sweeps in the small dial at 9 o'clock. Also, I don't have the fat wrists (at least I don't think so), but the watch strap just makes it around my wrist with just enough extra to slip into the strap holder. There are 10 eye-holes on the strap, and I'm using the 3rd one from the end. My wrist appears to be about 7 3/4 inches around. I... My only two complaints are: (1) The hour and minute hands are the same color as the face, which makes it difficult for me to read the time without "studying" the dial to find the hands, especially under dim light or when the hands are "lost" in all the dials. I would like to be able to accurately read the time with just a quick glance at the watch. (2) A lesser complaint is that the primary second hand is actually one of the small dials, rather than being the large "sweep" hand. While this problem is not as great as the issue with the minute/hour hands, it is, nevertheless, a bit of a nuisance at times. If I could have a do-over at this stage, I would choose a model with a different dial, ideally one with good contrast between (all) hands and the face, and, hopefully, with the primary second hand being the large "sweep" hand. It looks great with either dress or casual clothes, and with an additional Hadley Roma black strap, I can wear it with almost anything I wear on any occasion.It's a perfect size in my opinion. Not too big, but not undersized like some "dress" chronos are. I have received several compliments about this watch in the month I have owned it. It's now a tough decision between this one and my beautiful Citizen EcoDrive chrono with black face. Keeps precise time and I do use the chrono function when I'm playing poker and cooking! You won't be disappointed. |
