I've heard it referred to as a "Scuba" model and this is a bit misleading. Most people know a true Scuba or Professional Dive watch has to be certified water resistant to at least 200 meters. That being said, I am still very pleased with this watch. I bought it knowing that I would not end up diving with it. I have other watches I use for snorkeling and scuba diving. For "surface" water use, I'm sure it will be fine. I'll go swimming with it today and report back if it leaks!!! As a daily wear watch I think it would be a great choice.The extra features (Alarm, GMT, Power Reserve Indicator) are the reasons I wanted this watch. The fit and finishes on it are quite nice for the price and even though the dial is quite "busy" with complications, it is easy to read the time, date and day of week.
