If you happen to be a design and quality aficionado with a weakness for watches, the Cannon fits the bill. Bought this time piece as an outdoor alternative to my Rado Ceramica and find myself wearing it rather often. This watch gets compliments! Its simple design does what it does best: tell time and nothing else. The casing is sturdy and of high quality, the glass scratch resistant, the watch fits perfectly on the wrist and features the right size - not too small as to look wimpy and neither too big as to look ostentatiously showy. The dial is easy to read, the red hand for seconds adds a nice touch, and , in my case, the black background of the dial adds visual interest and a different look. The watch, so far, has been accurate, well, to the second since I bought it a few months ago. Without wanting to sound overly excited, this watch is great in every respect. I've had the Nixon Cannon (gunmetal) for about 4 years and its still going strong. I needed a durable watch for an active lifestyle and an active job where I always need to know the time. I have knocked it against concrete and rocks, submerged it regularly and never had a problem. It is of course scratched up at this point but that doesn't seem to look too bad with this finish. I readjust the time to my phone at spring forward and fall back and never touch it or think about it beyond that. Simple classy look too, lots of compliments. He is a surfer and he LOVES this watch. He's had it for a year and a half now its its just starting to show a tiny bit of wear on the band. Scratches from being banged around. The crystal is still perfect and without any scratches even though he's knocked it into things a few times. Its all black but when the light hits the face you see a star burst of a dark red which is very cool. The watch is a little heavy which took a short time getting used to but the bulk of is makes it very manly. He wears it every day and it looks great on the beach or when he's going to work in a suit, very versatile. I highly recommend this watch. |
