This is an amazingly large watch. My adult son put it on and it almost went up to his elbow. Even if he took out some links, I don't think it would have worked for him. I can get away with some men's watches because I like mine loose and I do like big watches, but this one is too big for me.That being said, this is a beautiful watch. I love that you can see all of the gears, both from the front and the back. I also like the mix of the polyurethane and metal for the band. If this watch were just a bit smaller, it would be perfect. It is actually quite light for it's size. I know that some like these big watches, and for those, if they get this one, they won't be disappointed. First let me say that this watch has a very large face and a long band. My husband is not a tiny man, and we had to take at four links out of this watch. Removing the links is not a real problem; it's something that any jewelry store should have no problem doing in less than 5 minutes.I knew this was going to be a pretty watch from the picture, but I was still shocked when I opened the box at just how gorgeousness of this watch. I have to admit, I find myself a little obsessed. I love the way I can see the gears working inside the watch. I find it mesmerizing. I wish this watch, like many Invicta watches, was self winding, but it's not a huge deal to manually wind it. I know some people prefer a battery-operated watch, but for me there is just something so classic about a manually wound watch, perhaps it's the knowledge that you don't really need modern technology or the fact that my household is notoriously bad about not getting watch batteries replaced. Everyone who noticed my new watch was asking about it and it really sets off a casual outfit.Pros: Cool composite band - very trendy, but cool black. Skeleton see-through is very detailed and jeweled Waterproof, so no worries in common useage around water. Cons: Big -- not for tiny man arms. Must wind.... Perhaps I've gotten too used to self winding Clasp can be difficult to open, but it never accidentally pops. |
